Indigenous, aboriginal, matching symbols set - insert 

Aboriginal symbols were used as a form of communication used by our first nation people for thousands of years.

Still to this day we teach and express our stories through symbols in art handed down to our children

 We have designed our symbol matching insert with this in mind and to teach and become familiar with the symbols by used by our first nations people ... the symbols on the tiles ate to be matched with the corresponding pictures to the board.  

one side of the tile has the aboriginal symbol ...  and on the back of the tile has the English word to help with learning/ teaching the meanings of each symbol this makes tiles easy to use for a matching game for both younger and older children 

these tiles can also be used for story telling and drawing ... 

like how our first nation people would engrave symbols into sticks and other wooden objects to leave a message or tell a story. This was their form of communication .. 

whats included :

- 12 double sided symbol tiles -  6mm tick

- 1 matching backing board - UV printed 

- 1 cut out board to hold tiles in place cane be used for other activities to ~ 

this insert can be made to fit your favorite sensory table or can used on the floor , outside ect
